"The journey is the reward."
- Steve Jobs
For every tear I shed,
- It was for moments I struggled, hurt and was sad.
For every wrinkle on my brow,
- It was a worry that I held and couldn’t let go.
For every gray hair,
- It was for each obstacle I overcame.
For every smile I held,
- It was for moments of joy, pride, happiness and simply being content.
For every genuine friend I have kept through the years,
- It was to remind me how rich I am in the bank of life.
For every embrace and kiss I give,
- It was returning the love given by those closest to me.
For every family member of blood or of water,
- It was always reassuring to know they were always there.
For every opportunity,
- It was to challenge and stimulate and allow me time to grow.
For every year I age,
- It was I grew older and realize it’s a gift given to me.
For every thing I have in life,
- It was to help me remain humble, as I have been afforded plenty.
For every new destination and trails left to explore,
- It was to only take memories and leave my footprints.
For every passing day,
- It was to reflect, learn something new and make new friends.
For every remaining day,
- It was to create cherished celebrations and fulfill each dream.
For this is my life,
- I know I am truly blessed and the world is mine.
