THE GRASSHOPPER
The grasshopper leaps,
Hurdling tall blades of grass,
Plummeting towards the moist ground,
Only to spring up once more.
EYES OF INNOCENCE
Coming to this world,
Knowing nothing about life
But their precious innocence.
ALAS, I AM TWENTY-ONE
Alas,
I am twenty one,
Only to do as I desire,
No more excuses,
Just nostalgic
Childhood memories
Of games I uses to play.
BLINDED
Stare at me,
I’ll stare back,
For what have I got to lose?
Only an honest friendship
And a thousand dreams
Had already been lost
With a blinded heart.
